CK Andover 3-1 Upper Clatford

Sam T got the only goal for The Blues as this local derby ended with a convincing win to CK which now sees them top of the league.

Clatford will need something special to retain the league this season and there are now potentially at least four teams vying for the title.

Man of the match Evan in goal had plenty to do, making some great saves and the game ended with CK taking all 3 points.

Well played boys.

Super Blues Round Up

grouphugAs the race for the title hots up, this weekend sees us with a chance to beat our local rivals, CK Andover (KO details here) who are currently third in the league. With Bishops Waltham slipping up last weekend, we could increase our lead at the top as they don’t play in the league this weekend, remember however, they still have a game in hand.

After our exciting 5-1 Cup Semi-Final victory against the Typhoons, we will now face Tidworth Titans in the final at New Street on the 26th of April – more details on that in due course.

The top scorers table is now updated, and I’m sure the boys will be all set to continue their race towards the golden boot! Remember, you can find all the stats, and up to date fixture timings here on the FA site…

Good luck Saturday, see you at training!

Upper Clatford 2-3 Broughton

Upper Clatford once again found themselves behind as Broughton started brighter on Saturday morning. After immediately equalising, and then going ahead, Upper Clatford looked to be coasting, the strikers missed a few chances to increase the lead and this was to prove costly for the Blues.

An ahem, ‘mistake at the back’ let in Broughton for the equaliser, and in the last second of the game, the visitors poked home a corner to nick all three points as the final whistle went.

Crunch game next weekend, with CK Andover away.

Braishfield Bees 2-3 Upper Clatford

Clatford just shaded this entertaining encounter after 2 quick fire goals from Thomas in the second half. Sam S had given Clatford the lead before the Bees stung Clatford, pouncing on 2 defensive mistakes to take the lead.

Clatford dug in, and held on after Tom’s two clinical finishes to give them all three points, keeping it tight at the top of the league.
